deepblue informationNick: deepbluedeepblue's reviews:
"again the french.." (by deepblue, 29 Aug 2006) [8/10] another french title from one of my favorite developers: cryo... deep and ambient music.. download it.. you wont be sorry Dune 2000: Game rip "I missed dune 2" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [5/10] when dune2000 was out, I was so excited to get my hands on the game.. and I was dissappointed after I installed it.. the game was only a revamp of the original dune 2 and the musics were no exception. maybe they werent bad, but they werent good either.. I wish they presented a better game (which they did by dune:emperor) Zeewolf: Game rip "another al brimble creation" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [9/10] al brimble is in my opinion the best composer for amiga games.. this is one of his latest work and a good one indeed. I wonder if he knows, he has fans from around the world :) Turrican 3: Game rip "dark game dark soundtrack" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [9/10] wonderful soundtrack for one of the definitive games on the amiga.. a must-have. Transarctica: Game rip "interesting soundtrack" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [7/10] this game had its flaws, but I found it to be very absorbing and atmospheric like most french games. the title music was good and set you to the proper mode.. Settlers, The: Game rip "not so good" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [6/10] I think settlers was one of the best things ever to happen on the amiga. I was never able to listen to the song because my 2mb amiga would not support it. after all these years, I found the music now, but found it to be rather boring. maybe I have to try it with the game itself.. but the sound effects were much better.. No second Prize: Game rip "cool game cool music" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [8/10] download the game itself if you can find it. this was a motorcycling game ahead of its time, with its vector 3d graphics and very good music. the title tracks first quarter was so strong... funky guitar riffs and nice melodies.. dont miss it.. Lemmings 2: Game rip "best of the bunch" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [9/10] lemmings 2 was the best game in the famous series and its music was no exception. each tribe had a theme song and most of them were very fun to listen to. do not miss this amiga classic. a must-have! Capital Punishment: Game rip "nice techno tune" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [6/10] I never played the game itself, but remember its reviews on magazines (which were pretty good actually). so I downloaded the music. maybe it's not a masterpiece, but it's a good techno tune.. worth trying for dance fans. Alien Breed Tower Assault: Game rip "not as good as AB2" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [7/10] alien breed2's original score was one of the best tunes ever to be heard on any amiga game. AB tower assault's score was a good tune but nowhere as good as its predecessor. still a worthy download Agony: Game rip "ambient" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [8/10] agony was a game I never played.. I came across the soundtrack in this site and found it to be very nice. I even found the game itself, but the game is not as good as its music. the intro is a masterpiece by itself. Test Drive 2: Arranged/Remixed tunes "it's been 16 years now" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [8/10] one and a half decades old... still excites me when I hear the title song.. Another World: Arranged/Remixed tunes "another classic but with mediocre music" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [6/10] the game's graphics and atmosphere was so powerful, i still remember them very clearly. (there is a mobile version coming, search google if interested). however its music wasnt as powerful. only the intro track is worth trying. Lotus 3: Game rip "even better than lotus2" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [8/10] lotus 3 could not improve a lot on lotus 2. but its music was definitely better than its predecessor. the title track is one of the amiga midi classics. lotus3, miamiice and futureworld tracks are my fav. Unreal (Epic Megagames): Game rip "a classic" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [9/10] the game itself was a classic when it first came out. It is still remembered for its breakthru graphics. I remember buying my first 3d accelerator card just for this game (and it was worth it). but the music was also spectecular as well. this is as good as midis get. a masterpiece from alex brandon. Swiv: Game rip "good game, good music..." (by deepblue, 20 Mar 2006) [9/10] this was a solid shootem up, that came with graphics and sounds ahead of its time. its music is on par with the aforementioned traits. a good download Jaguar XJ220: Game rip "best racing game soundtrack" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [8/10] i think jaguar had the best racing game soundtrack on the amiga.. yes, including the lotus series. i think it's a must have. moody breeze could well be used in chillout compilations even today. Walker: Game rip "dma design" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [7/10] dma design were the creators of the legendary lemmings and this was another game from the same group. it was a very nice shootemup with nice music. worth a try Alien 3: Game rip "interesting soundtrack" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [7/10] all tracks sound like they were from a different composer.. they have totally different feels about it. my fav.s are level1 and level5 Utopia: Game rip "very good soundtrack" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [8/10] the soundtrack reflects the personality of the game very nicely. the game has a sci-fi, slick soundtrack. and i loved "tune1".. Blastar: Game rip "solid soundtrack" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [7/10] i think this was an underrated game. so its music was possibly ignored. but i think it had a good solid techno-ambient soundtrack. Lotus Turbo Challenge 2: Game rip "a definite download" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [9/10] i wont say anything else. just download it Flashback: Game rip "french house" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [8/10] delphine was a very good example of the french school of game producing and game-music making. this is a 1st class soundtrack and every mod fan should download it. Desert Strike: Game rip "EA trax?" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [8/10] EA wasnt what it used to be in the old days.. the British knew how to make amiga games, not the American.. but desert strike was an excellent game, and its music was no exception. i love the intro music. Overdrive: Game rip "al brimble effect" (by deepblue, 24 Nov 2005) [7/10] al. brimble was one of the best game music composers of amiga times, or even all times. overdrive was one of his less exciting work. in 10sec. you could understand that it came from the same person that created superfrog or project-x sountracks. but still, it was good... Gods: Game rip "to...the wonderful..." (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] or so I hear.. what an excellent song it was.. a definite classic... Colonization: Game rip "good game, good music..." (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [8/10] sid meier games are not special for their graphics or music, but colonization had a large variety of tracks, that suited well for different cases.. nice soundtrack Chaos Engine, The: Game rip "classic amiga tune" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] a classic track for a classic game. love the beat. dance track fans should not miss it Cannon Fodder: Game rip "a classic" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [10/10] the first amiga game track to include proper vocals, as far as I can remember.. I still remember my shock when I heard the track for the first time. Superfrog: Game rip "superb soundtrack1" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] one of the games that made the amiga what it was.. and an excellent soundtrack that reflected the atmosphere of each level beautifully.. Super Cars 2: Game rip "among there with the best" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] very nice tracks.. I remembered the days when I pumped up the volume and danced to these tracks.. download now! Sensible World of Soccer: Game rip "vocals.." (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [8/10] the vocals which were founded in cannon fodder are back... they are sensible, arent they :) Pinball Fantasies: Game rip "a definite download" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [10/10] one of the best game music ever produced on the amiga. especially the intro is a masterpiece. download now! Wing Commander: Game rip "the star wars of amiga times" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] it was one of the best games I played on my amiga 500, which suffered from low fps. but still I loved the soundtrack and felt weird when I heard them after downloading. they were fabolous and got you in the mood immediately like john williams' score for star wars.. a definitely must-have! Mega-Lo-Mania: Game rip "powerful tunes" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [8/10] the best amiga music usually came in the glorious days between 90-93 and this is no exception. the sensible software's first hit had a powerful soundtrack. Alcatraz: Game rip "very cool track" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [8/10] immediately gets you in the game's atmosphere.. very moody track. Alien Breed 2: Game rip "moody" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] allister brimble has produced some very nice soundtracks with team17. but in my opinion this track was his best by far. download it now if you are looking for some moody, dark tune. I wished there were more tracks in this game... Kid Chaos: Game rip "kid chaos sounds fabulous" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [9/10] kid chaos sounds fabulous, thanks to the excellent soundtrack. the british put in some really nice dance music that was ahead of its time. every level has its own music, meaning you'll download a total of over 25 tracks. if you like techno, download this now Disposable Hero: Game rip "top of the line music" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [10/10] the music is really strong in disposable hero, and it seems the producers were also aware of it. the mods add up to over 1mb which was definitely a feat in the time of DD disks. my favorite track - level2 Dune: Game rip "one of the best amiga game music ever" (by deepblue, 23 May 2005) [10/10] especially the "title music - wormsign" is a masterpiece. I am still amazed how this track creates the thick atmosphere of the dune universe so successfully. |
