My info

Cool realtime strategy soundtrack done in well known Command & Conquer style - hard action themes are followed with slower ones and also few athmospheric; all have many ideas, though the C&C tunes seemed to me a bit better. [7/10]

  • "Disappointingly soul-less" (by frostcircus, 11 Jul 2004) [4/10]
About half of this soundtrack consists of updated versions of tracks from Klepacki's excellent Dune 2 soundtrack. He claims that the way the tracks sound in this is how they were supposed to sound in the first place.

Simply put, he's wrong. I don't believe a word of it. Aside from the boring production, he's changed notes, chords, and generally made everything sound much more 'normal.' None of the new material is worth mentioning, either. It's just entirely bland.

So I suppose it fits the game perfectly. Just like the game, it's not unpleasant, but it's not memorable, and to be honest, it's not worth your time.

  • "I missed dune 2" (by deepblue, 20 Aug 2006) [5/10]
when dune2000 was out, I was so excited to get my hands on the game.. and I was dissappointed after I installed it.. the game was only a revamp of the original dune 2 and the musics were no exception. maybe they werent bad, but they werent good either.. I wish they presented a better game (which they did by dune:emperor)

  • "Dune new Millennia version" (by Warcow, 19 Dec 2011) [5/10]
This soundtrack is remakes of the old Dune tunes but much more ambient, like sadly enough most of new computermusic made today. It's not that bad of a soundtrack though since they're based on really good original songs but it's not really my cup of tea.
