  • "None can outrun or equal the power of the original" (by rambutaan, 10 Nov 2002) [2/10]
Great game and it had a great soundtrack based on the 80s hit Megablast by Bomb the Bass. These remixes unfortunately are rather low quality. bomb_the_bass.mod manages to stay on the beat although the bitrate is low. miniblast.mod deviates considerably from the original melody and is unfortunately quite simplistic. Xenon 2 - Megablast.mod 's tempo is too slow and the final mod, xenon2.xm is okay except in the last 10 seconds or so. I recommend the original track if you really want to remind yourself of Xenon 2 rather than these remixes.

  • "Xenon 2" (by ISD, 31 Mar 2004) [8/10]
Who knows how long I've been searching for this track and now I found it!
It's really great, although it seems a little slow...

  • "20 years ago ???" (by dblanco, 20 May 2005) [9/10]
Simply incredible, David Whittaker for their quality and quantity has demonstrated to be the best composer for video games of the 80. Xenon2 song, it could have been a hit of the radio.

As curiosity, has somebody seen "Assault On Precinct 13" ? Well, we have to thank the original melody to John Carpenter.

9 points for Xenon 2 and David Whittaker

  • "Shoot everything what moves" (by Tepe, 29 Nov 2006) [7/10]
Mega shooting game many years ago. Music is little poor. Maybe some musicians can make remixes of this tunes. I think more channels, better sounds and little changes to melody we have great tune

  • "Good, so good" (by Streki, 22 Mar 2024) [9/10]
Very good game music. Very nice rif for my ears. Very good classic and many remix on youtube with videos.

Facts / description

Info from user leilei to tune leixen2.mod:

It's a retracked version of the original in-game song as accurate as I could make it.
The original game used some proprietary format, so this is all by ear and sample rip.
