Dark Forces: Game rip
"nostalgia" (by TigerEye, 14 Nov 2006) [7/10]
i remember playing this game when i was little. lets hope the music was as amusing as i remembered. i definetly remember dancing around the room to it but then again i think i was only five so...

Starcraft: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"the only good track" (by TigerEye, 14 Nov 2006) [1/10]
the only really good audio track from this game was the 'radio free zerg' track but that was mainly for the fun value rather than actual musical value. search warcraft for the better blizard music.

Mother: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Pretty good -- Too bad there aren't many" (by DaVince, 8 Nov 2006) [7/10]
Mother a.k.a. Earthbound Zero is a great game with some great tunes. They are recreated and/or remixed in this pack. Too bad there are only three, because those are pretty good!

Hocus Pocus: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Hocus Pocus" (by InvaderJim42, 4 Nov 2006) [7/10]
A very well-done arrangement of the title screen / main menu of Hocus Pocus. Very true to the original MIDI, but sounds very good. A little reverb could've helped the square-wave track.

Realms: Game rip
"Awsome" (by Tharisfal, 3 Nov 2006) [10/10]
The intro music is just awsome. Saying that it is one of the best is a sure bet.

Duke Nukem 3D: Game rip
"really nice one" (by zomg111, 3 Nov 2006) [9/10]
i must agree with other reviewers. really nice tunes, varied and good memories about hours of game fun also like 3 years fun on multiplayer.
luckily i still got an awe64 running in my second comp :)

Ecco 2: The Tides of Time: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Ecco deserves better" (by jbltecnicspro, 2 Nov 2006) [4/10]
I really don't know what to say other than the MIDI conversions flat out stink. None of the General MIDI patches even come close to resembling the Sega Genesis instruments (and yes, with a little bit of experimenting, you can get a videogamey sound from General MIDI). Also, it's impossible to tell what unit this was composed on, though my Sound Canvas is able to play the MIDI's back with good balance. Overall, I'm disappointed with this. If I didn't have college taking up my time, I would convert the Sega Genesis music myself... Perhaps I will. Bottom line: stay away from this one.

Imperium Galactica 2: Alliances: Game rip
"Best Space Soundtrack Ever" (by zomg111, 1 Nov 2006) [10/10]
Quote:
"IG2 won the YEAR 2000 BAFTA award for best original music."
´nuff said.

Tunnel B1: Original soundtrack
"sorry but.." (by zomg111, 1 Nov 2006) [10/10]
..browsing through the site owners (simply awesome this collection btw) reviews i found this one and i m sorry but i must say it s greatly underrated. so i m just giving it 10/10 for truth s sake :p

Jazz Jackrabbit: Game rip
"awesome i d die for this" (by zomg111, 1 Nov 2006) [10/10]
i ve come to this place looking on more information about the soundtrack and its authors because the wikipedia article related to jazz sucks :s.

what can i say despite really few not so great tunes this is an amazing piece of art, outstanding of course Medivo also my favorite Orbitus -can t stop looping those 1:52 minutes forever. remarkable also how these songs correlate with the original game levels.. the memories ;)

the package offers the songs in nice quality, actually better then they ever sounded on my 386/40 with SBPRO, i only miss one song which is the one of the first xmas episode lvl 1 also a kickass tune. luckily someone was sharing that .it on edonkey :D

as for silverball, extreme pinball and (partially) also for epic pinball robert allen and joshua jensen have given us a lot of great tunes. same goes in general for all epic productions which have always been a synonym for outstanding game music -as for outstanding games themselves of course- just remembering unreal 1 soundtrack with love :)

Age Of Wonders: Game rip
"Perfect!" (by LexIcon, 1 Nov 2006) [10/10]
I used to listen to AoW's game music even when i'm not playing the game! It's such a masterpiece!

Let alone the combination of the game itself and it's music.

I simply love it.

Horde, The: Game rip
"Awsome" (by Ricci, 31 Oct 2006) [9/10]
:') Great old times, ah :') Only Crusader No Remorse & Regret has better tracks!

Unreal Tournament: Game rip
"Not just for ingame background listening!" (by Mike L. Thompson, 25 Oct 2006) [10/10]
The sound is just fantastic. At first I took it just as good background music for the game - maybe except Mech8, which I really liked. But when I first heard SuperFist, man, I thought: this ROCKS!!! From then on I'm listening to all the tracks regularly outside the game :)
My many thanks go to those genial guys who created it, especially to Alex Brandon (whose ones I love the most).

I'd love to make a music band... :D

Pokemon: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Not the best ever." (by Crazy Koopa, 22 Oct 2006) [5/10]
I would give this musi cpack thing a 5 because, half of it was bad, and half was good. The files PKM and PKTB were really bad, the sounds were bad and the notes were off. Lis Vender's music was good, it had goo d timing and the sounds fit. That other pokemon battle somg ROCKED! I used it pokemon NetBattle as the main battle song.

Too bad some of my favorite songs, such as the final trainer theme, weren't included.

Warcraft 2: Game rip
"Pure Gold" (by jbltecnicspro, 20 Oct 2006) [10/10]
Over the years, I have enjoyed the music of WarCraft 2 because the soundtrack is possibly the best MIDI soundtrack I've heard. Everything is spot on. The harmonies progress beautifully, while the individual instruments sound complete, yet they make up a wonderful ensemble. To experience what the composer intended, a Roland Sound Canvas is going to be needed. I use the SC-55, and I use WarCraft 2's music to show off my unit. For those of you who care enough, the original CD soundtrack was created using a Roland SC-88 "Super Sound Canvas." The SC-55 doesn't differ too much, but the SC-88 sounds MUCH better. To sum it up - DOWNLOAD NOW.

Azrael's Tear: Game rip
"Pretty Good Music" (by jbltecnicspro, 20 Oct 2006) [8/10]
Overall, the music in Azrael's Tear is very solid and evokes some melancholy, and enchanting emotions. It makes for some good background music. Like most games made for DOS that uses General MIDI, this soundtrack sounds best when using a Roland Sound Canvas device. I use an SC-55, and it sounds nice and balanced. Although the music is good, I do have a complaint about the overuse of vibrato in the wind instruments - it makes the pitch sound distorted at times, but this problem is very minor and does not detract from the score's quality.

Doom: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Not worth dowloading" (by nullfish, 18 Oct 2006) [2/10]
No, its not a good tune. It dosent even change chords in the main riff like the original. The orginal song is good though.

Metal Slug: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Good games comes with good music" (by nullfish, 18 Oct 2006) [8/10]
Atleast in this chase... I belive the could have been a more heavy (like metal) soundtrack for this game.
But is not bad at all. Thees tunes are absolutely worth a download.

Quake Rally: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Quakerally arranged/remixed tunes review by monkeylad" (by Doug, 17 Oct 2006) [10/10]
Well,it's ok,I liked it alright.

And since I understand remixing is difficult,
I give you 10's,this sounds difficult to remix.I never played Quakerally. :(
