History Line 1914-1918: Game rip "not perfect, but nice" (by the Interceptor, 9 Feb 2004) [7/10] The music of History Line supports the mood in the game pretty well. When you're winning it sounds happy, when you're losing it sounds sad. Technically seen the music is not very complex, but still it is nice to listen to in the background. Good work! Disposable Hero: Game rip "Excellent" (by Blutus, 8 Feb 2004) [10/10] First off, the sound's really great. This is some of the best sound I've heard on the Amiga. Dark, atmospheric, fast paced progressions. Wonderful samples. Second, the music itself is superb. It's hard to categorize the style of it, but I'd say it's some sort of techno (but not really, since I usually don't like techno...). Rick Hoekman and Hein Holt did an amazing job on this one. Edit: After playing these tunes with a different modplayer, I'm raising my score by one. A lot of the songs has extra music that goes beyond what says in the player, and not all players can play this extra music. Also, one song that I earlier thought was pretty boring plays at double speed in my new player, and what a difference! This is clearly what it's supposed to sound like. Lotus 3: Arranged/Remixed tunes "By Myself!" (by Jayenkai, 5 Feb 2004) [5/10] It's not really a remix at all. I'd got a new XG soundcard, and wanted to do a decent version of the Lotus theme. It sounds pretty bad, unless you hear it with XG.. Trust me.. I no longer have my XG card!! I've awarded myself 5 out of 10. I think it sounds pretty bad now, but I know that with my old XG card, it did sound VERY good! A LOT like the original. But heck, I'm biased ;) Colonization: Game rip "Sid Meier's Colonization Soundtrack" (by Arch, 2 Feb 2004) [9/10] The music in this game is not loud or generally too exciting, but it is very historically accurate. Colonial era British, Dutch, French, and Spanish music on synthesized drums and fifes definately bring added depth to this game about colonizing the new world. I've sought out the music now, nearly 10 years after this game's release because the impression was that lasting and there is not an equivalent collection of colonial and traditional instrumental tracks to be purchased on today's market. Snowboard Kids 2: Arranged/Remixed tunes "SK2 Review" (by Don, 31 Jan 2004) [8/10] Hey, this game has some cool music. Not much of it but it's very catchy and well-composed. I especially like the Sunny Mountain song. Warcraft 2: Game rip "Best of the Best !!!" (by Perry Wisler, 30 Jan 2004) [10/10] From the day I tought the Rise of the Triad was the best MIDI game rip I ever heard, I took a look on Warcraft 2, What I say is that it's the best of the best !!! I never heard a MIDI game rip that looked so amazing with a software sinthetizer, and it still rock with a FM sinth. This is definitively the best MIDI music from any games ! Aunt Arctic Adventure: Game rip "Aunt Artic Adventure was incredibel" (by amiga5million, 28 Jan 2004) [10/10] Ya Aunt Artic adventure was the first computer game i ever played and it is still the greatest game of all time... The music was incredible for its day and age no computer had a soundcard qwuite like my now worhtless amiga 500.... But Thomas Andres Michael and Jeremiah created a ridiculous game with and incredible soundtrack that is still on an equal entertainment level with anything else out there today. Seriously. I think the best series of songs are either the space level songs or possibly the level 29 music (i forgot where that comes in to the game i think level 17?) anyway those songs were incredibly catchy and went well with an incredible game. Aunt Arctic Adventure greatest of all time -Amiga user Moonshadow (Activision): Game rip "The music" (by xayde, 27 Jan 2004) [10/10] This is very cool mystic and evel music.... its very good.... awesome Star Fox 64: Original soundtrack "starfo 64" (by netgardo, 27 Jan 2004) [9/10] excelent good original soundtrack! Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun Firestorm Expansion: Game rip "C&C: Tiberian Sun + Addon Firestorm (Midi Files)" (by Darnation, 26 Jan 2004) [10/10] I have found out that Kazaa and Kazaalite have the midi files you were looking for. Only for Tiberian Sun 1. For firestorm midi files you must look on the internet, because in holland it isn't very known. So use google or another search file program (Like;ilse, lycos or maybe amazon) Because that's what you will need. Use this info to get them and i really love those tunes, like Crazy Rap, Valves, Storm and Approach of tiberian sun. P.S. can you send me one of those midi makers then i can hack my firestorm cd and get that music of at it, and your e-mail, for just in case i got them ready, complete and prepared. Good Luck And also to your mr or ms suprivisor. Signed: Darnation (Side?-Gdi-Nod) Klonoa: Original soundtrack "Game Music rules" (by alex, 25 Jan 2004) [10/10] i been playing Klonoa alot and been listening music and i been trying get to get this soundtrack for this game. to me i would give this game 100% for music and gameplay Lotus Esprit Turbo Challenge: Game rip "Good to be home....." (by Nanorider426, 25 Jan 2004) [9/10] When I heard the tunes to this game again it was like coming home. This was one of the first games I played on the Amiga 500 (many years ago), and it was one of my absolute favorites. Brings back memories! The tunes are good as always - real racing tunes. PlanetSide: Game rip "This music is moving! I'm a big fan!" (by Stellus, 23 Jan 2004) [10/10] I'm a Planetside member. I've been playing the game for a very long time now. The thing I love about this game the most is the music. It is certainly the best music ever to be made for aa video game. Of 19 years of gaming, I have never heard music as moving and influential as this. I've taken the songs from this game made by Mr. Ferrone and burned them to a CD for safe keeping. He is a great composer and I hope to see more of his works! Captive, The: Game rip "Update on facts for you." (by SuperCC, 19 Jan 2004) [10/10] Hello,,, My name is Chris Crowther. I wrote the music for Captive many, many years ago now.. My brother who wrote the game is Antony Crowther, not Anthony as you have in your review infomation. This is a great site by the way. Its nice to see that some poeple are still interested in the Amiga and understand what a great machine it was for the period of time that it reigned supreme.. Keep up the great work your doing... :o) And of course i'm going to give my little tune 10 out of 10.... lol Hexen: Game rip "About the music I downloaded" (by Ra, 19 Jan 2004) [1/10] Although i found the tracks, i was dissappointed in 2 things. 1.) When i saw the list, i saw a number from 1-30 this was confusing to find the track i wanted and i figured it went by the original track number mainly the 01 was supposed to be 15. 2.) This is not the original music from Hexen(Dos version) like it was advertised to be Moon Patrol: Arranged/Remixed tunes "A nice orig and remix of a classic, easy to play on Debian/Unstable" (by Jake, 18 Jan 2004) [10/10] First I want to thank the people in charge of this site for providing this archive. I have been hoping to hear for quite some time. I downloaded and uncompressed the zip archive into a new folder I created called 'MoonPatrol'. I think making a folder to unzip into is a good choice because most zip archives, this one included, just dump their contents into the current directory. When I saw the files were called *.it, I was momentarily stumped. Using the 'file' command, I saw these were "Impulse Tracker module sound data." I didn't know what that was, so I did an apt-cache search for impulse and found cheesetracker. Now I'm jamming to moonpatrol_arcade.it while playing a java applet of Moon Patrol :). Even better sounding, but not 'classic' is the moonpatrol_arranged.it. Nice organ. It's like the classic w/ funk. :) Tyrian 2000: Original soundtrack "Awesome" (by Hyper.nl, 15 Jan 2004) [10/10] It's one of the best game soundtracks out there. If you can not listen to it with the jukebox (part of the setup program) you might want to have this CD. You can also try to find the MP3's from the net, but there are different recordings made with different synthesizers. Settlers 2, The: Game rip "Hypnotic Music of Settlers 2" (by apachenf, 13 Jan 2004) [10/10] There is something about the Sng_0001 which goes on and on in my head - I actually find myself whistling the music. Thi is just the best game music I have ever heard and I have scoured the net just for th music alone - at last. The relentless march of the music gels with the relentless march of the little characters as they plod across the screen. Genius, sheer genius. Diggers: Game rip "You'll be mesmerized!" (by mrDave, 12 Jan 2004) [10/10] Mr Joseph shows a VERY diffrent side of himself in Diggers compared to that of in James Pond Robocod. The music is bizarre, deep and very mystical. Mr Joseph has a very distinguished form of contemporary musical language. The music also makes a game like Diggers (wich some people could find very boring, wich i'm not one of) even more interesting and very scary and ackward.I know no other games that have music like it. There are five modes of music (but at the time I haven't finished the game, perhaps there could be more), three of time are perputual repetitions, one is a very relaxed song, and one, the main playing theme, is one without melody, this makes the whole thing so special. In short, I JUST LOVE IT!
