Kilo Blaster: Game rip
"Not too bad..." (by quackbal, 16 May 2004) [3/10]
Wasn't overly impressed by these midis. When in the game, they sound an awful lot better.

Blake Stone: Game rip
"Prefered adlib..." (by quackbal, 16 May 2004) [7/10]
I must say I prefered the adlib versions, but these are by all means cool! I used to play this as a kid quite a lot, along with Wolf3D and Doom.

Blackthorne: Game rip
"At Last!" (by Xtense, 14 May 2004) [9/10]
I`ve waited long to see this soundtrack - and finally it`s here. The game is a product no real Blizzard fan should miss - so is the music. I love the "warcraftlike" climate in those tunes - reminds me of every good RPG/Fantasy game i used to play. Furthermore - it still sounds very good. AdLib was nice back then, but the General Midi sounds very good.

Blake Stone: Game rip
"Oh yes!" (by Xtense, 14 May 2004) [8/10]
I can say no more to describe the beautiful music from this great game. I used to play it a lot as a kid - the melody from the first four levels (demo versions suck) is irremovable from my mind. I love the AdLib version more, but the conversion is nice - too bad the pitching in some tunes is lost.

Death and Return of Superman, The: Game rip
"Superboy" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [8/10]
If you're into futuristic action songs, then this might be something for you. Some songs are a little slow, some are groovy and the Title theme sounds like a classic futuremusic intro.

Super Monaco GP: Game rip
"Me like the title screen" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [7/10]
Not many really long tunes here and they're pretty average, the song Concentration is cool though so it's worth downloading it because of that song.

Zelda 3: A link to the past: Game rip
"May the Triforce be with you" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [10/10]
Another Zelda soundtrack that has absolute top notch music. It has great melodies and great sound, not much to complain about here.

Blast Corps: Game rip
"Time to get moving" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [9/10]
This is a package mostly filled with fast happy techno, disco songs which all have cool melodies, especially the Cromlech Court is a song that's hard not to tap along to while listening to it.

Tyrian: Game rip
"Scorched Earth" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [9/10]
Here's a wellmade soundtrack that's full of cool space songs with pretty much variety and ideas. It's an old pcgame but like always when it comes to Straylight Productions, they make music that has a very good sound.

Blood: Game rip
"If you want Blood, you've got it." (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [10/10]
Been listening more and more to this soundtrack and it's really my kind of music, scary with cool melodies. The archive here unfortunately doesn't have all songs, having the game with an old SB card is the ultimate.

Blood: Game rip
"I want Jo-Jo, I want Jo-Jo!" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [6/10]
Dark Carnival has that "sad clown" type of feeling, like a happy song mixed with a portion of melancholy, and it's good. There's also a slow remix of the song Unholy but other than that, it's not that special but it works well as background music. Totally different songs here than from the real game.

Unreal: Game rip
"It's really Unreal" (by Warcow, 10 May 2004) [10/10]
Unreal as a game is a real masterpiece and so is the music. Many tunes are ambient, which suits the game and creates a wonderful atmosphere, but there's also a lot of easy listening ones as well. Overall I think it's a really good soundtrack and it deserves a high overall rating, just listen to classics like Wargate and Dusk Horizon and you see what I mean.

Gods: Game rip
"the very best" (by Sol zenit, 7 May 2004) [10/10]
This tune can make you go straight through the roof.
And then straight to your soul.

very original stuff, check it out.

Epic Pinball: Game rip
"Better than average" (by The Lightning Stalker, 7 May 2004) [7/10]
While not amoung the longest modules found in games and a few are somewhat lacking in content, these are still some catchy little tunes. This game and its music deserve to be called classic for a few reasons. For one thing, the shareware version of the game shipped with quite a few PCs in the Pentium era. It is also worth mentioning that the game itself was coded completely in x86 assembly and as such runs very well on even 486 machines.

Doom 2: Game rip
"Classic" (by The Lightning Stalker, 6 May 2004) [9/10]
These sequences actally surpass the original Doom music in some respects. They are in many cases much longer and incorporate more insturments with more complex melodies. While not as grim as the original Doom sequances, they capture more of the fast-paced nature of first-person-shooter (FPS) gameplay. Enjoy these sequences from the originators of the FPS genre. As far as MIDI music goes, it doesn't get much better than this!

Doom: Game rip
"Creepy" (by The Lightning Stalker, 6 May 2004) [8/10]
The original Doom music has to be some of the creepiest game music ever sequenced. This music helped create the spooky atmosphere that is Doom. id could have used module music for higher quality instead of the MIDI FM music, but I suppose they chose MIDI because it more widely available in hardware at the time and the slower CPU speeds of the day did not allow for much to be done in software. But other than that and some of the songs sounding like a bad rock demo, this music is classic nonetheless.

Piranha: Game rip
"Very good soundtracks" (by Knight, 4 May 2004) [10/10]
This is one of the best sound tracks that I have ever seen in any game. Whoever wrote these sound tracks, did a very good job, and I hope they got a good pay. The best sound tracks are titled "Can you feel it?" and "Chromosphere"

Jazz Jackrabbit 2: Game rip
"This music is kickin it!" (by Knight, 3 May 2004) [10/10]
I never knew that this had ever been ripped. I was in hog heaven after I downloaded this.

Starcraft & Brood War Original Soundtrack
"StarCraft is the best rts game that I know. (but Frozen Throne too :)" (by KASHM1R, 3 May 2004) [10/10]
StarCraft has a very good game music (soundtrack). -> That's my opinion. /// When I was 11 (or 12), I play StarCraft for the first time. It was quite a new game then (1999). The first thing that I noticed on this game was music. Protoss campaigns were cool (the music was COOL - that sublime sounds/music - ahh, so good!). That's all I wanted to say (write:).

Bye!
