These are high quality MIDI files. Some are orchestral stuff, some are more funky. Nice melodies. Great Giana Sisters, The: Arranged/Remixed tunes "Is this composed by Chris Huelsbeck?" (by Aginor, 3 Feb 2005) [4/10] Info.txt says: original composer : Chris Huelsbeck, but this is hardly anything notable. It didn't bring any memories from the game either. Super Mario 64: Arranged/Remixed tunes "Liked It" (by gm6_dude, 2 Feb 2005) [8/10] I Loved It Its The MOD Version Of Kirby I Wished There Was A Melee 1 Though! Mega Man: Arranged/Remixed tunes "A mixed bag..." (by Tiberious, 31 Jan 2005) [7/10] Well, for starters, Air Man and blazeman.xm don't belong in this archive (Air Man's from 2, and there is no Blaze Man)... Well, let's start with some good ones: Mega Man - ElecMan.xm: This one's nice and accurate. I'd say ~95%... then again, I'm biased... I made it (I think a little thievery has been taking place, as I know I didn't upload it here). Bombman.s3m: Nod a bad little cover. Shame it's missing the intro. I'd like to know how he'd have handled it. Boss Selector.mod: a little over-the-top for a remix, and drags on longer than an intro screen would last. Fireman.mod: starts off soft, but gradually comes to normal volume. The remix is also well done. Iceman.s3m: I think we've heard techno remixes done to death. Doesn't bring anything new to the table. Iceman4.mod: the fact that everything either on the left or right speaker, with NOTHING in the middle detracts from what would be a Rockman Complete Works-worthy remix. Metalmannes.xm: whoops... another one that belongs in Mega Man 2. Not bad, though. MM1 - Bombman.s3m: sounds like yet another NESMusa MOD. A quick look at the sample list confirms it. Has a sound effect logged in it. Not a good thing. Mvselec.xm: Interesting remix, but not the whole thing. qum - cutman.xm: more accurate to the original than some of the others I've heard... skullseabase.xm: ANOTHER wrong game file?! Who filters this stuff? This belongs in Mega Man 3 for the Game Boy (AKA Rockman World 3). Lemmings: Arranged/Remixed tunes "Oh no!!!" (by Smebb, 31 Jan 2005) [10/10] Lemmings was one of my many favourite games when I wan young, it wasn't the graphics. Oh no! (lol) It was the playability and music that did it for me. The game was, and still is, very addictive and the music that accompanied it made it even more enjoyable. I remember humming the music on my way to primary school. As with many retro gamers I have searched and searched for decent MIDIs of games, and especially the soundtrack for lemmings. I have found a few, which were made and remixed by artists, but these here! They are the real deal! I even set my amiga up and listened to it! Apart from my soundcard having crap synth voices, it sounded -EXACTLY- like the amiga! :D which I am very pleased with. All in all, a must download for any retro gamers. Perfecto! Turn it: Game rip "Turn it, vote it !" (by Muthomi, 29 Jan 2005) [10/10] How many nights I spent playing this great table-game! Risky Woods: Game rip "Risky Woods Spanish soft ;)" (by Muthomi, 29 Jan 2005) [10/10] My vote for this old game that I cracked when I was young by myself with no debuger, only looking inside de .exe with an Hex-editor!!! Prehistorik: Game rip "Prehistorik Rules!!!" (by Muthomi, 29 Jan 2005) [10/10] Very good music for a classic platform game! Tzar: The Burden Of The Crown: Game rip "mens ok" (by vocker, 26 Jan 2005) [7/10] niewiem czy zrozumiecie ale stronka jest ok Street Fighter 3: Third Strike: Original soundtrack "C'mon, move ur lard slice!"" (by Darth Nefelim, 26 Jan 2005) [4/10] Yeah, party people! With this groovy sound ya could shake, shake, shake yourself up and down. Yo! Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of rap-styled music. Da BOOM-BANG rythm has no impression on me. World of Warcraft Collector's Edition Soundtrack "WoW... as usual" (by Darth Nefelim, 26 Jan 2005) [7/10] The last track from this CD has made a very strong impression on me. Nevertehless I'm free of subjective rating. This soundtrack is a tough compilation of Warcrat III music and brand new tracks. As usual it's orchestrated enough. As usual it's full of epic. As usual it's damnly good fro the game. As usual it's too usual. Same things can't last forever. This music is as ordinal as it is beautiful. Daggerfall: Game rip "Better than Morrowinds" (by Razorback, 26 Jan 2005) [8/10] Probably some of the best music I have ever heard in an RPG. Get it...get it now! Doom: Game rip "Excellent" (by Razorback, 26 Jan 2005) [7/10] Brilliant tracks, for anyone who loves old game music, these come highly recommended. Metroid Prime & Fusion Soundtracks "Prime Play" (by Darth Nefelim, 25 Jan 2005) [5/10] The in-game and out-game music are quite different things. When you're playing a Game (I mean the Real Game here, which grabs you completely up), you live within it. The Sound is surrounding you, adding vivid strokes for Gameplay picture. You're flowing down with it's stream and you're totally happy. But when you're sitting at your everyday job and movin' your business, this Music will sound a diferent. And no one could guarantee your Satisfaction. Sometimes we don't need to collect the fascicle soundtrack. Just return home, start-up your console and have a nice time. That's an idem case. Halo 2: Original soundtrack volume one "Halo 2" (by Darklinkn2it, 23 Jan 2005) [9/10] The Halo 2 Music is really cool especialy the theme..But of course Alot of games have there down sides.....but apparently Halo and Halo 2 arent one of them...Except the point that I cant seem to find any midis that I can download in the form of Zip files for Halo 2 Thunder Force 4: Arranged/Remixed tunes "Wicked!" (by Sebble bebble webble, 23 Jan 2005) [10/10] This music is great! It sounds just like the original sega mega drive version, and listening to it makes me want to get my old mega drive out of the loft and rel-ive the dream once more! The twisted versions of the tracks are a nice feature too. Pokemon Gold: Arranged/Remixed tunes "A great disapointment" (by Sebble bebble webble, 23 Jan 2005) [1/10] WHAT? This music sounds nothing like the original! Who ever made these tunes needs music lessons! And some of the tunes are so simple, it is a shame. Donkey Kong Country: Game rip "Meet the hit!" (by Darth Nefelim, 22 Jan 2005) [8/10] Oh, yeah. The first game of the trilogy. And impressive soundtrack. Written by three composers (Dave Wise, Evelin Fisher and Robin Beanland), first heard in 1996, loved all around the world. It's the one soundtrack of the whole trilogy that was published on CD. Tis music is pure. Just try "Aquatic Ambiance" (the best for me) or "Life in the mines" (yeah, it's at the second place). Feel this music in your heart. It makes your soul free. Tetris (Consoles): Arranged/Remixed tunes "Awsome songs" (by o_cara, 22 Jan 2005) [10/10] Oneof the best songs i have ever heard. Metal Gear Solid 3: Original soundtrack "Big Boss will never return" (by Darth Nefelim, 18 Jan 2005) [6/10] A very interesting regularity exists: the next release is weaker then previous. And infrequent exclusions are only confirming this sadly rule. Can I say this Soundtrack is poor? No. Is it too ordinal? No. Or may be it's a hack-work? You miss again. And what's up then, man?! This Soundtack has lost something more important then just a style, quality or epicness. I can't feel the Core of Metal Gear here. Well arranged, professionally perfomed, but it's not a creation, it's nothing just a work. Good work.
