Only now I can appreciate it musically. The others are just good all-out rockin' tracks. I wish I could get ahold of the original MUS files though ;D ![]() ![]() "Awesome!!" (by Pyramid Head, 11 Jul 2005) [10/10] This is one of the most beautiful game soundtracks i ever heard. The game is awesome thanks to this music tracks that put sense of each scene of the story. The style is uniqe, like native-asian with some of electronic and orchestral tunes. I recommend it if u like 2 hear something different. Or if u are a fan of Panzer Dragoon Series of course. ![]() ![]() "Some great tunes, and some not-so-great" (by xarragon, 10 Jul 2005) [7/10] Pretty nice tracked songs, I like the more agressive tunes. Some others are pretty dull and uninspirational. I recommend that you load the tunes into a real tracker or a more advanced player, since there are alot of extra patterns in the end which you'll probably miss out on otherwise. ![]() ![]() "Super Mario Bros 2 RMX" (by madmod, 9 Jul 2005) [9/10] Whoa... when i started to listen to these i thinked "what the hell are them?"... after some seconds... (by ^LookICE^, 7 Jul 2005) [1/10] I want more tunes! How can I pic it from this game? What softwares to use? ![]() ![]() "Missiles over Xerion" (by aj, 6 Jul 2005) [10/10] The story: We had the idea to make this game around 1990 and it took us to years to make it. After we finfished it it was hard to get a good contract to sell it. We finally found Kingsoft /Ikarion and had the luck that they had the right to sell our "missile shooter" together with the old "missile command" classic game... all in all around 5.000 games were sold in two month - then it went bad - maybe an illegal copy went round - the usual way... we didnt earn money but we realesed a game and Cycletech was founded. The Cycletech Multimedia GmbH (like ltd. but with a higher cash base) still exists... look at: www.cycletech.de But back to the music: I made a lot of sound tracker songs but the Xerion songs seem to be the only known... exspecially the title tune - my cycletech mates still like it and think its the best I ever made... Olaf, coded the star wars style scroll text - this was new on the amiga as we released the game - no one had made an effect like this before because vector arithmetics need to much system speed - so we had to use a trick to do it. my intention was a tune which fits good to the scroller and leads into the game mood while the scroller tells the background story (I had written). The flute melody and the drums were the base of this idea... it took 2 weeks till the first version was ready and later I changed somethings so maybe it took all in all 3 weeks. By the way: the game as a bug - in the multiplayer (this is still great to play) version it is impossible to finish the game ! As far as I can remeber the last enemy ship does not appear. Maybe I will upload some other tunes I made! AMIGA - a great time. Andreas Junge ![]() ![]() "Medieval" (by pelya, 6 Jul 2005) [10/10] Music is very fit to the game - dark dungeons, stone passages, gargoyles and crossbow in the hands. Many tunes are both dark and fast-paced - combination I've seen only in shooter games. Overall music is not distressing or annoying, but grim. ![]() ![]() "A bit confused!?!!" (by Funky_flat101, 5 Jul 2005) [10/10] I love game music and am new to this site. I am a noob but.....where do u download this music!?! I dont see any link to click on!?! Get back to me.....what a life.... ![]() ![]() "Brilliant" (by JS, 4 Jul 2005) [10/10] Exactly what I was looking for. Great collection. ![]() ![]() "A few good ones..." (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [5/10] The soundtrack from this game never really struck me like the music from Jazz Jackrabbit or Commander Keen did. That's not to say it's bad music - it's okay, I guess. My favourite tune, and the only one which I remember from playing the game, would be Hocus006.mid - the menu theme, if I've remembered correctly. ![]() ![]() "Quite good, for a midi..." (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [7/10] Despite being midi files, which really don't sound as true to the game as the IMF files do, these songs are quite okay to listen to. ![]() ![]() "Epic tunes." (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [8/10] Some songs in this archive remind me quite intensly of Jazz Jackrabbit 1. This is perhaps because Robert Allen is a composer for both, and possibly the same or similar samples were used. The Jazz Jackrabbit music is some of my favourite music, so I'm fine with them reminding me of each other. ![]() ![]() "Some fantastic work from Dan Froelich" (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [9/10] Some very enjoyable music from Dan Froelich. Most of the songs included seem to fit the mood of the game/levels well. Dan.mid is quite pleasing to the ears. ![]() ![]() "Music from the Prince" (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [7/10] Some okay music, however I don't remember the tune from Breakdwn.mid in the game anywhere... Cosmo2.mid and Gowacky.mid appear to be very similar... ![]() ![]() "Nice memories..." (by SpikeNexus, 3 Jul 2005) [7/10] I agree with the post above that the IMF version of the Keen music does sound more true to the game, but the midi files are still okay. If only Bobby Prince composed midi versions of some more of the songs...
