  • "Very good rip and music" (by gromit, 19 Dec 2002) [10/10]
Rip is flawless. I must admit that the overall score maybe the best piece of game music I'v ever heard. It's truly a gem amongs it's kind; fresh and full of feeling. If you are in to machinesounds mixed with melodies and beat, try this one. The game itself is great also!

  • "Awsome" (by Galil, 7 Sep 2003) [10/10]
Really great Rip, and the composer is really good and i'm glad to hear he will be dooing the music for DeusEx : Invisible War ( the second Episode ).

  • "Made My Day!" (by isOpenSource, 3 Dec 2003) [10/10]
THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH! Sorry for the yelling, but, but... i wanted this for soooo long and for some reason i couldn't find it until now, exactly 4hours and 9minuts before the release of DX2. Heh, hope it doesnt take me 2.5 years to find the DX2 soundtrack, lol. Anyhoo i really wanted the "Hong Kong Streets" track, its (IMO)the best fitting game music of all time, given the scenario. Amazing quality rip too, great job on that. Thanks again!

  • "Brilliant" (by mcfc98, 5 Mar 2004) [10/10]
Got to be one of the most appropriate soundtracks for a game ever, and superb in its own right.

There arent many soundtracks that have made me want to replay the game just to listen to the music but this is one of them.

  • "deus ex - the best game wiv the best music!! :P" (by hangetsu, 21 Apr 2004) [10/10]
wow. finally i've found a site th@ has the deus ex trax!! has ne1 else out there played the credits over n over 2 hear the soundtrack, or repeated the wan chai market level a few times, just 2 listen 2 the wonderfully atmospheric plinky music?! wow. neway, w00t w00t 2 all u ppl!! peace out...

  • "Deus Ex: The music takes control!" (by jobeGDG, 23 Jun 2004) [9/10]
Deus Ex is a game where your style of play dictates the music you hear. You go stealth, you hear the stealthy stuff. You go in guns blazing, you hear the upbeat stuff.

But for me, there was more to it than that.

My style of play didn't dictate the music so much as the music dictated my style of play. The music in this game captivated me to the point where I wanted to hear all the music available in play… so I ended up shooting things when I knew it was a bad idea... just so I could soak in all of the fantastic music Deus Ex has to offer!

  • "HONG KONG!!!!" (by ronald, 16 Jul 2004) [10/10]
THX :D i love the hong kong music

  • "Thanks a lot! :)" (by enderfield, 3 Aug 2004) [10/10]
Right now i'm downloading the zip, but I don't have to hear the mp3s to know the subject :P.
I've been trying to get this music in every way I could (even recording the main menu title through a microphone ;)), but nothing worked. Now I can listen to THE BEST GAME MUSIC I KNOW!! THX very, very much :D:D:D:D

  • "Good game, good music" (by Pyramid Head, 15 Aug 2004) [8/10]
Cool, cyberpunk soundtrack. Alexander Brandon, Michiel van den Bos and Dan Grandpre mixed techno and orchestra in this tunes, and effect is really good! BTW. If you want hear more pieces (Combat, conversation, dying music etc.) use MODPLUG Tracker program.

  • "One of the best..." (by Nikki, 18 Aug 2004) [10/10]
... game music ever maded. If I could mention the best ones, then it would probably be "Majestic 12" and "VersaLife". To be more accurate - combat music parts.

  • "Stunning music" (by El Geeko, 3 Oct 2004) [10/10]
Very good and dedicated rip. The theme has inspired me to re-play the game again! Although, I can't help think that the main theme would be AWESOME in a feature-length movie.

  • "Spectacular" (by Delance, 11 Oct 2004) [9/10]
My favoriotes are: Title, Intro, Trainig, Begin the End, Unatco and NY 1. Very good stuff, Alexander Brandon did a great job on this game.

  • "Outstanding!!!" (by exo, 17 Oct 2004) [10/10]
I've been searching for this music for AGEs....and now -Finally- I can listen to the BEST music of the BEST game I've ever played. Thanx a lot.

  • "Great! Gargantuan!" (by akbrrr, 8 Jan 2005) [10/10]
Not that I wouldnt have been able to extract the music from this game (XMPlay does ok; if you want IT/S3M, use UMXRipper) . I've burned them all to CD :D
This music and the one from UT are the greatest game music I have ever heard, especially "Go Down" from UT and "VersaLife", "Paris Chateau" and so many others. Alexander Brandon is a genius!
BTW, if you havent played this game (which is highly improbable ;-)), go and buy it! It's besides StarCraft the best game I know (played it through 5 times)

  • "Seriously, the best game soundtrack ever..." (by (mez), 9 Feb 2005) [10/10]
...and one of the few 'albums' to have permanent residence on my mp3 player. Even people who don't know the game (misguided fools, every last one of them ;-) love this stuff when they hear it.

  • "So good it hurts..." (by BornIn1142, 12 Feb 2005) [10/10]
If there's a game with a better soundtrack, I have not played it. This is superbly glorious in the field of excellence. I can't get enough of this.
Tunes like Hong Kong Market, Chateau, UNATCO Return and Area 51 Bunker should be the standard. And let's not forget the glorious Main Theme...

  • "The Best" (by hitech, 1 Apr 2005) [10/10]
Deus Ex is a game of great excellence especially in its sound trax. It has really cooooooool trax that touches ur inner self .The songs are so properly made according to the level's ambience and real good beats and proper mixing of certain effects. It is undoubtedly the best game music ever made.

I've been waiting for years to get these songs but recently i came upon mirsoft(thnx a lot).

The rip is really of great quality.

Songs like hong kong streets, liberty island, mj12laboratories , NYC streets, UNATCO and UNATCO Return are really cool and always keep me in the mood and ill never get fed up by playing it.

The game also is the best on my list of games

  • "Music of the Year for the Game of the Year" (by SP3000, 25 Sep 2005) [10/10]
An another incredible piece of work from Alexander Brandon. Vandenburg Tunnels and Vandenburg Base are really spooky tracks, which the club songs are simply fantastic.

  • "Love the music" (by Ice_, 18 Dec 2005) [10/10]
No other game beats the music and gives the perfect atmosphere as the deus ex music, it was just BRILLIANT! I had these tracks (ripped trough unrealed.exe) but I lost them long time ago and I've been to lazy to install deus ex all over again (btw, the best game I've EVER played in single player if I might add) and rip them all over. Thanks for this package, I'll enjoy it very much.

    /Ice_

  • "revolutionary" (by jezcrow, 9 Apr 2006) [9/10]
In a similar way to Unreal, the Deus Ex music captured the intrigue and excitement of the game, and magnified the whole feel and intensity.

  • "How do you play it?" (by Naruto, 10 Apr 2006) [10/10]
I downloaded the songs and all but how do you play them? I've been waiting like forever to find these songs but I can't play them.

  • "Absolutely stunning" (by p1agu3, 24 May 2007) [10/10]
This is some of the best music I've ever been privileged enough to hear. The game is incredible, too; even seven long years after it has been released, no game has come close to touching the grace of Deus Ex.

Part of the reason the game was so great was that the music was again done by the same people that did Jazz Jackrabbit, Unreal, UT99, etc.

I want them to band back together (they were called Straylight I think).

  • "Best Rip Ever" (by Tharisfal, 21 Jul 2006) [10/10]
The music is awsome. Especialy ending, title and credits. Techo rock :).

  • "Deus Ex" (by EEss, 7 Aug 2006) [10/10]
Loving the game, loving the music!

  • "The best Soundtrack and most clear rip I have heard yet" (by Kalibr, 7 Jan 2007) [10/10]
Wow, these sounds still get my heart pounding! Just listening to them makes me get all stealthy (I think) Great work man, I couldn't get this thing for love nor money off my cd.

  • "AMAZING but i need help" (by cheesehead, 20 Aug 2007) [10/10]
GREAT MUSIC anyone know how to transfer the it files it comes in into mp3 files im trying to use the intro song in a movie im making

  • "ZOMG!" (by General_Antilles, 18 Feb 2008) [5/10]
    UPLOADING COMPLETE.

    ICARUS HAS FOUND YOU.

  • "One of the best mood-setting soundtracks out there" (by Longshot, 3 Apr 2008) [10/10]
This OST is one of the main factors that helped the player's immersion into the world of Deus Ex. It was exceedingly successful in setting a specific mood for every location visited. The MAin Theme is the track that made me for the first time after installing a new game to just sit in front of the computer and not proceedind beyond the Main Menu, listening to the music for about 15 minutes. Right there I knew i was in for one hell of a ride and I wasn't disappointed.

  • "From God (no pun intend... okay, pun intended)" (by Sathanocracy 218, 5 Jun 2008) [10/10]
Upon first playing the game, I've heard the music drifting off in the background, paying little attention to it. On that note, at the time I was not actually into the game. When I returned and began to play the game, the music just caught me. It sets the perfect atmosphere for the game. The music is almost depressive at points, which puts you in this trance. It often makes you wonder... wonder that perhaps there are mysteries to this life... or what comes from "god". Whatever it is, the music kicked a lot ov ass!

  • "The music made the game" (by Newme, 16 Jun 2008) [10/10]
Without the music, I don't think the game would have stood out much. The music, however, is strong enough to stand on its own. Love the variation, and yet they (thd tracks) are all close.

  • "Best Game Music Ever" (by Omar, 26 Sep 2008) [9/10]
The music all over the game was superb especially in Hongkong ........

  • "Woderfully atmospheric" (by Rheinmetall, 21 Feb 2009) [9/10]
This music draws you into the world of the game and fits perfectly the mood of each level. Just listening this brings back lots of memories. Most of the pieces work well out of the game. Near perfect example of how game music should be made.

  • "Yeahhh!!" (by temetnosce, 1 Aug 2009) [10/10]
That's what I want to listen to on my big music tower! It's incredibly powerful and just
lovely, like English people say, thank YOU
for this, it's so 'modern' anyway, i like
the track from the credits ILLUMINATI, isn't nice, huh?

  • "Best MODs since Unreal" (by Big Mo, 28 Dec 2009) [9/10]
Although the UMX format which comes with the game is readable in most trackers & music players nowadays, the zip file here is in the well-known Impulse Tracker format. These great tracks, which could be called semi-dynamic (since they include music for different sceneries) are probably some of the best game MODs out there by Alexander Brandon and Michiel van den Bos.

  • "Game soundtrack masterpiece" (by Torment, 24 Oct 2010) [9/10]
This is what classics are made of. The music perfectly sets the mood (and what a magnificent, unique mood it is) for the game and is still as impressive as when I heard it the first time, many years ago. The best songs are Ending 1 (Dark Age), UNATCO, Intro, NYC Streets, DuClare Chateau, Versalife and NYC Bar 2. However, the greatest of them all... is Hong Kong Streets.

The only songs that bother me somewhat are the main title and Opponent Within. The main title feels too "high-strung" and a bit disjointed at times whereas Opponent Within loses its great potential exactly one minute into the song, becoming dull and far too short. This is why I have to grudgingly give it a 9 instead of 10. Still, undeniably a masterpiece and one of the best and most original game soundtracks that has ever existed.

  • "EXCELLENT!" (by JaadWoro, 28 Jun 2011) [10/10]
There is no other word to describe such astonishingly awesome music! My fav track are:

    1. Begin the end

    2. The Illuminati

    3. Deus Ex Club Mix

    4. Conspiravision

  • "MOD goes out with a bang" (by honkstar82, 14 Nov 2012) [9/10]
As someone who has not yet played Deus Ex, or the reboot Human Revolution, I have to say I am greatly inspired to by this music! Lots of good cyberpunk and techno music that shows off considerable talent from the designers. This pack is huge, after ripping it to MP3 with XMPlayer I had 130 songs. Each song is named and numbered, so the pack is well-formed and will fit great on your playlists. Highly recommended to anyone seeking some dark cyberpunk music or melodic techno.

  • "10/10 - IGN" (by Rchew2, 15 Mar 2015) [10/10]
As a child failing to transition through puberty, this soundtrack assisted me more in my genital development than Ron Jeremy's 7 day package.

  • "Great!" (by Beefy, 27 Apr 2015) [8/10]
    Uploading success.
    Icarus has seen you.

  • "One of the best soundtracks to any game ever" (by bigg_dude, 16 May 2022) [10/10]
This game is a must play, must hear and must feel.
