"Great audiovisuals, shallow gameplay" (by Mad-E-Fact, 23 Feb 2005) [8/10] Like with many Psygnosis games, the Beast series had great atmospheric graphics (multilayered parallax scrolling, beautifully drawn loading screens) and an equally great soundtrack (the e-guitar solo in the game-over screen), but espeically Beast 2 was lacking in the gameplay department. The game was insanely hard and very short, to make up for that you could get stuck in lots of places and had to restart. Agony: Game rip "Hats off to Tim Wright" (by Mad-E-Fact, 23 Feb 2005) [7/10] The intro theme is a classic without doubt, the rest of the tracks in this archives are just the lame tunes from the loading screens. I advise you to download DeliPlayer and then get the original in-game music, which is one of the best game soundtracks ever made. |
