Lifeforce (Salamander): Game rip
"Use the Lifeforce Luke" (by Warcow, 30 May 2004) [8/10]
Don't get confused here, it's not 45 songs, it's the songs plus the soundeffects. It's sci-fi music with a mix of happy and sad parts and the most important factor in music, it takes you places.

Last Ninja 1, The: Game rip
"Stealth assasins" (by Warcow, 30 May 2004) [10/10]
This is one of the most classic Commodore 64 osts and it has many nice melodies, some a little slow at the beginnings. The musicsound of these old games are pretty primitive but I think it just add to them 'cause it gives the music character and it actually sounds better in my opinion.

Great Giana Sisters, The: Game rip
"The infamous Mario clone" (by Warcow, 30 May 2004) [9/10]
I enjoy all songs in here and especially the ingame tune, track 5, it's really one of those songs that you get addictive to. A nice way to get it is to use Sidfind because then you don't have to download the whole Sid collection.

Wizardry: Game rip
"Time to get medieval" (by Warcow, 30 May 2004) [6/10]
Here's another soundtrack that has average songs except one track, the first, that has a medieval feeling to it and is very catchy.

Doom 2: Game rip
"Doom 2 music" (by kmk, 29 May 2004) [10/10]
the music of doom 2 today is not as good as the original version from when it was made. the enhanced one today is to modern and takes away the feeling of it.

Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!: Game rip
"Not enough" (by Darth Nefelim, 28 May 2004) [6/10]
After listening two previous delightful soundtracks ("Donkey Kong Country" and "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Quest") I was really confused. That's a miss. The soundtrack was totally written by Evelin Fisher (using some themes by Dave Wise) and... she failed. She increased the technical quality of music, but losed it's sense. Not enough happiness!
This does not mean that this music is bad. Heh, not right, man! This music is good. But not enough good for "Donkey Kong Country".

Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy Kong's Request: Original soundtrack
"This kicks!" (by Darth Nefelim, 28 May 2004) [9/10]
Chef-d'oeuvre! THIS SOUNDTRACK is a really awesome thing. Dave Wise (the original composer of this soundtrack) made one of the best game soundtracks ever. I've first met this game (and, of course, this music) when I was a romantic teenager (in 1996). And I was searching, seeking and looking for this soundtrack. Now I have it and... ya know, guys, I'm really happy. MUST HAVE, no doubt about it! This music makes you forget about all the world around - no troubles, no worries, nothing. Just a music. The incredible music.

Just try "Lava" or "Brambles". You'll understand me. (^-^)

Why just "nine of ten"? "Ten" - is an ideal, it can't be reached. "Nine" is my highest point. Now you know that.

Ultima 7: Game rip
"A look at some lost classics" (by CyberZCat, 28 May 2004) [10/10]
Ultima VII was and still is one of my favorite games of all time. This album is definitaly worth downloading, if you enjoy the game.
Key points of this album:
- Complete (No missing songs)
- Same as the in game quality
- MIDI Format (The same as Ultima VII uses)
- Well chosen file names (It is easy to find a particually song)

Very well done, 10/10!
Many thanks to whom ever put this together!

Beverly Hills Cop: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Yeah, those were da tunes" (by Dr. Spa, 27 May 2004) [9/10]
These are much getter than the original ones... They are much more creative and they use much cooler samples!!! :) ;)

Wizardry Gold: Game rip
"searching for pc midis" (by MidiMarchingMan, 27 May 2004) [6/10]
Crusaders of the Dark Savant , Wizardry 7 , Wizardry Gold ,
whatever you want to call it. The sound track for the PC version is one of
the greatest PC game midi soundtracks ever made in the history of gaming.

Does anyone know who composed it or has a working copy of the game to record it?

I only have a wav version of the songs that I recorded manually with a tape recorder
when I used to have a system that would run the game. I no longer have the game or
a legacy system to run it on...

PLEASE HELP!!!

Agony: Game rip
"One of the best, most memorable themes ever." (by raistlin, 26 May 2004) [10/10]
I don't really like this kind of games but i played agony very often just to listen to the music and see these beautiful loading screens (i have the the one with a tree and a flask on my desktop right now ;).
Agony music may be slow but its the best of the 'slow ones' ;). Especially track from the intro.

Quake 2: Game rip
"Quake 2- the nightmare creator" (by Quake Master, 25 May 2004) [8/10]
This game gave me the creeps!!! The last level was way too easy and boring, there is some replay value in this, but not the last level.

Quake 3 Arena Noise
"Quake 3 Arena- The game of universal champions" (by Quake Master, 25 May 2004) [10/10]
This is prettey much a multiplayer battle simulator in which strong worriors have been abducted from thier own times and place to eternally battle to become the champion but also to lose to be destroyed and freed from battle.

Mega Man 2: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Reviewing my comments..." (by Ryana, 24 May 2004) [9/10]
I've just heard the other tracks on this err... 'Album' and I'm not quite sure how to put this... WAY TOO LOUD!!!
Good music though, worth about 9/10.

Final Fantasy 7 Original Soundtrack (MIDI)
"Final Fantastic!" (by Wyted, 23 May 2004) [9/10]
Final Fantasy has long been respected for the high standards of the music that accompanies the games. Final Fantasy 7 is no different.

This is a great addition to the Final Fantasy collection. It is a superb companion for the game and I highly recommend it!

Unreal Tournament: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"(Un)real" (by Wyted, 23 May 2004) [6/10]
Not the greatest gaming music by a long shot. This music however captures the atmosphere on Unreal Tournament well, it is good to have in the collection for UT gaming fans.

This could do with having a few more tracks in it.

Monty on the Run: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Run Monty!" (by Wyted, 23 May 2004) [10/10]
Monty on the run is an absolutely fantastic game made all the more enjoyable with, in my opinion, the greatest gaming soundtrack ever created.

The soundtrack to this game is some of Rob Hubbards greatest work. He captivates the entertainment of the game in the theme tune.

A must have for fans of Rob Hubbard and of gaming music in general.

Tales of Phantasia ~ The Dream Will Not Die / Yukari Yoshida
"The dream will never die (review)" (by Masamuri, 23 May 2004) [9/10]
THIS SONG ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!
YUKARI YOSHIDA, BOY IS SHE HOT
SO DOES THE GAME!!!!

Body Blows: Game rip
"bodyblows" (by infamous, 20 May 2004) [9/10]
Alister brimble is one of my all time favorite amiga music producers and that favor has moved along as he has done so too.

so it was with a fond memory that i re-downloaded the zip full of all the tunes from one of the better beat em ups on the amiga.. bodyblows.

its not the ingame tunes that strike you though they are standard beat em up affair and seem rushed to be perfectly honest.

its the main theme.. a 92 rave tune of epic proportions... vocal "cmons!" airaid sirens and a driving beat make this tune one heck of a ride.
considering aswell that this tune was made during the 4track era, listening to it you wouldnt believe it was done in 4 tracks.. i heartily recommend this for download if you like dance music.. this coulda charted back in 1992.. now its just a fond reminder of what made alister brimble hot property back in the day.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon: Arranged/Remixed tunes
"Better..." (by Ryana, 19 May 2004) [10/10]
Good, even better than I expected it to be. Truely worth listening to. 10/10 :).
