Very cool fast futurictic cyber-tunes. Wipeout was famous with tunes of these types and first part of this game has maybe more ideas than the next parts.. Recommended in fast cars :)) [8/10]

  • "Simply Mind-Blowing!" (by Accatone, 6 Aug 2005) [9/10]
WipEout is definetely CoLD SToRAGE's finest composition, bar none. Almost all the tunes have incredible energy and diversity that make most of other techno/ambient/trance tracks look dull (even CoLD SToRAGE'S later works fade away when compared --just listen to WipEout 2097 and see what I mean). This IS WipEout, look no further!

Wipeout still to this day has a soundtrack I listen to on a regular basis.Any time I listen to Chemical Beats it just blows my mind how good the soundtrack was.It was also a trendsetter as Sony released how people were paying so much attention the soundtrack. So games started having proper soundtracks with well known artists after wipeout.

Other tools

Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info.txt file directly while playing tunes of all formats!
