What an athmosphere has this soundtrack! Unlike many other horror sountracks, it has not only great scary tunes, but also many cool ideas, and it's very listenable and scary. Only very few horror soundtracks have these features, and it's really pity it was never released officially, it would fill 2 CDs of great listening. [9/10]

Facts / description

EA planned to offer a game soundtrack for American McGee's Alice, but cancelled
the manufacture of merchandise when the third-person action/adventure
computer game did not meet initial sales projections. More importantly,
the world's leading interactive entertainment software company needed to
cut expenses to make up for significantly lower than expected profits from
PS2 sales.

Chris Vrenna, a founding member and ex-drummer of the band, created a collection
of dark and eerie instrumentals for the music that enhanced a twisted and
interactive Wonderland. The arranged tracks for this collection of music from
Alice follow the sequence of levels. ID3 tags and filenames are based on the
level names presented in the strategy guide and several scripting files.
