  • "SECOND SAMU-RIGHT!!!" (by rathga23, 8 Aug 2004) [9/10]
I went through a phase of just listening to game music when I was younger, rather than playing the things. Nothing prepared me for what I would find when I inserted the Second Samurai disk that had been kicking about in my collection for some time. Many fans of the game will remember the intro screen, can't remember exactly what it said but I can envisage some large red & green shapes bouncing in from the top of the screen. Boring huh? How many of you just hit the fire button to just get on with the game???

On this one occasion I did not, and all of a sudden a real cracker of a tune began. Filled with some of the most craziest of samples, I can remember showing this to my friend at the time and we'd end up jumping around the room throwing kung fu punches at each other. At one stage it became a ritual to listen to the whole tune before actually going ahead with the game itself! This tune is well worth a listen, if I could recommend a full and wholesome download go for this one - oh and just be patient with the gongy bit at the start!

Other tools

Generate info.txt - with this cool feature you can generate the info.txt file with all tune information and save it somewhere, which means you'll have something like "tune ID card"! :) This has cool advantages - it's small, fastly readable/editable, you can add it to the tune archive if you want and you will have everytime fast information about the game and music archive. Also programs which support reading from txt files (such as KBMedia Player) can read the info.txt file directly while playing tunes of all formats!
