(by ZelRiptha, 7 Jul 2004) [9/10] Like Legend of Kyrandia before it, Frank's Lands of Lore score is quirky, catchy, and evocative. Even though the MIDI music in the game simply looped indefinitely, I never tired of the tunes. In fact, they really grow on you. If you haven't heard these tunes yet, give them a try. Better yet, play the game and get the whole atmosphere! --ZR - "An outstanding score achievement" (by JM, 11 Jul 2004) [10/10] That's definitely one of my favourite soundtracks, made by a composer who really knows his job. Frank Klepacki just has a feeling for brilliant melodies that are far from common "background" music. These tunes really carry atmosphere and emotion and could, apart from very few ambient tracks, well have been used to score a movie. - "a classic game, a classic soundtrack" (by zomg111, 7 Jan 2007) [10/10] very nice tunes in this one, interesting to listen to one of klepacki s early works and to be amazed of the varity of styles and sounds he covers with this one. even the very short single-event tunes are well done. sadly the songs will sound worse then the original opl-3 ingame music i got used to while playing lands excessively back in the days (even when you use a real sbb16/awe) -unless you are lucky enough to be able to enjoy them with quality general midi samples instead. - "Title from different Tunes" (by mishRa, 4 Jan 2008) [8/10] Great, great, great music! I love Klepacki, it's one the best composers of video game music. Can anybody tell me the locations or situations from the different MIDs? e.g. Westwood.mid = Developer Tune Lands_61 = Forest Tune - "My favs still my favs here ;p" (by MabsKMK, 19 Apr 2015) [8/10] Just wonderful Lands_11, Lands_17, Lands_54, Lands_67, Lands_69, Lands_76 Nice work Frank! - "Pretty good, several great ones." (by Draze, 17 Apr 2016) [8/10] Overall quite a good soundtrack, not every title is great, as expected for so many different tracks, but a few make it all worthwile, with 54 taking the cake. *** More info about Paul S.
